Vintage Guitar Show Oldenburg
5th and 6th of November 2011

On 5th and 6th of November 2011 Oldenburg/North Germany will become the Mekka for all vintage guitar friends from all over Europe. Since 1985 the Music-Station in Oldenburg organizes the Vintage-Guitar-Show, Germany's biggest show of this kind with more than 1000 exponats and collectors and dealers from all over Europe and the USA. There will be guitars from Gibson, Fender, Gretsch and Rickenbacker, but also a lot of unique,antique and acoustic guitars, basses, amps, spare-parts and books. There are rooms for testing, workshops and demonstrations take place and there will be a catering service with resonable prices.

Opening times for visitors:
Saturday Nov. 5th from 10 am until 6 pm

Sunday Nov. 6th from 11 am until 4 pm
Entrance fee:
1 day € 5.-
2 days € 8.-

Vistors can take up to 2 guitars/amps per person in, any more instruments will be charged with € 3 per piece.
For security reasons we will have a controll servive at the entrance and at the exit and a video surveillance.

Guitarexpert and Les Paul collector Tom Wittrock from Texas
examines a 56th Les Paul

Tom Wittrock will likely be here this year again, sign his Les Paul-poster and pass an expert opinion on vintage guitars. Also on the booth of Music-Station and other boothes visitors will have the chance to let the guitars be valuated and checked for originality.

Collector Wilfried Fricke shows his great collection of original posters, pictures, autographs, amps and instruments from the Cavern-Club and Starclub-aera among others from The Beatles, The Rattles, The Who, Yardbirds, Taste, Pretty Things ...

1:00 pm Alex Beyrodt shows tricks on his guitar and tells stories from his life as professional guitarplayer.
2:30 pm Guitarplayer and book-writer Svenson demonstrates the sound of different vintage-instruments.

3:30 pm The band "Bad Beat" plays sixties sounds on authentic instrumens, amps and PA.

Sunday 6th
12:00 am Uli Brodersen plays songs from his new CD
1 pm Alex Beyrodtshows tricks on his guitar and tells stories from his life as professional guitarplayer.
1:45 pm The young and talented blues-guitar player Oliver Jüchems with his band Mojo-Express

3:00 pm The band "Bad Beat" plays sixties sounds on authentic instrumens, amps and PA.

On saturday evening beginning at 8 pm. the vintage-party takes place at the live-club Litfaß in Oldenburg. Lots of fun with sessions on old instruments and vintage-talk is guarenteed.

The photographer Heinrich Jansen presents autographed photos of famous musicans and take pictures of vintage guitars

How to go:
From direction Dortmund/Osnabrück:
Take the A-1 until „Ahlhorner-Dreieck“, there take the A-29 to Oldenburg. Go straight on at the cross Oldenburg-Ost across the Hunte-bridge, than take the first exit Ol.-Ohmstede, than the 2nd exit Oldenburg-Nadorst

From direction Hamburg/Hannover/Bremen/Berlin
Take the A-1 until exit Delmenhorst-Ost, there to the A-28 dir. Oldenburg. Follow the A-28/A-293 until exit Oldenburg-Nadorst

From direction Groningen/Leer
Take the A-28 until Oldenburg-West, there go direction Wilhelmshaven, leave the A-293 at exit Oldenburg-Nadorst

From exit Oldenburg-Nadorst go direction "Rastede", after 100 meters the right hand you`ll find the Music-Station.
